This is a new design for 2012!! The Hotel del Coronado is the most famous landmark in San Diego, California, located on the sands of Coronado Island. It is a Victorian style hotel and resort built in 1888 and has 326 rooms. It's famous for its red towers such as the "Grand Hall" represented by our Landmark Bead. It has been host to Presidents, royalty and celebrities since it opened. The "Del" as it is known, has also been featured in numerous movies, such as "Some Like It Hot" starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. This charm has a 5 mm smooth hole that is compatible with the major European charm bracelet companies - Biagi, Pandora, Chamilia, Pasha, Troll - and measures approximately 1/2" wide by 5/8" tall. It was designed by San Francisco artist Shani Yokoyama, hand carved by a master bead wax carver and cast in high quality sterling silver. This beautiful bead is a great way to bring back memories of your travels! Please note that Landmark beads should not be cleaned with jewelry solution because it will remove the oxidation which adds detail to the design. Instead polish gently with a soft cloth.
